Personally, I have benefited from the organizational framework provided by the MVPS. This provides the structure I need as a leader. The sports ministry also benefits from this framework as it provides our volunteers with a full understanding of our purpose.

Coaching from CEDE Sports has been a true blessing to me personally and in my role as Director of our sports ministry. My coach consistently cares for my walk with the Lord while also challenging me to think strategically about how we can reach more people through sports. This coaching has helped me see more clearly how God is using sports to shape lives and has equipped me to lead our staff and volunteers from a gospel-centered foundation as we care for those who come through our doors each day.

When I’m asked if anyone in sports, rec, or fitness ministries should connect with CEDE, the answer is always yes. The resources, guidance, connections, and opportunities are second to none in the sports world. The leaders are passionate and knowledgeable, while being approachable and caring. The REACH GATHERINGS are refreshing and energizing. The comradery of meeting others and walking arm in arm together with others who can relate to everything you are going through is life changing. The only reason I’m still in sports ministry today, after 10 years, is because of the men and women at CEDE. God called me to serve here, but thankfully God has also called CEDE to help me along the way.

My monthly coaching calls with CEDE Sports have been incredibly valuable because they give me space to process challenges and think strategically with someone who understands both sports leadership and the deeper purpose behind what we do, sharing the Gospel. Having a mentor outside of my organization allows for honest conversation, objective feedback, and a fresh perspective without internal bias. Beyond operations and programming, these conversations help me align our recreation efforts with our ministry mission, ensuring we are not just running excellent programs but are also intentionally impacting lives. It has strengthened my leadership, clarified our vision, and reinforced that our work is truly for the Kingdom.
